Mike Loya
Owner BlackRock Retractable
Mike was born and raised in Bethel where his Dad was a local homebuilder so he was never a stranger to the construction industry. After graduating from St. Michael’s College with a degree in Business Administration, Mike enjoyed a 37-year career with Ring’s End and assumed various roles including General Manager of the Bethel location, established and managed the Estimating & Design Services Division, Outside Sales Manager, and Commercial Sales Manager. During this time Mike developed strong relationships with both Builders and Design professionals by sharing his in-depth knowledge of structural concepts and floor system performance, architectural molding and millwork, and window and
door fenestrations. In 2015, Mike embraced the Phantom Screen opportunity by engaging in Phantom Sales and Installation Training. With a passion for lifestyle improvement, and making happy customers, he created Black Rock Retractable Solutions, Inc., an Authorized Phantom Screens Dealer serving Connecticut, Block Island, Westchester County, and all of Western Massachusetts.
Mike is married to his college sweetheart Eileen, and together they raised four children and still live in Bethel with their two beloved Golden Retrievers.
Paul Caso
Paul, who has lived in Bethel since he was just three-years old, graduated from Bethel High School in 1996, the same year he established Paul Stewart Caso Landscaping, LLC, and enrolled in Western Connecticut State University. There he earned a degree in Business Management in just three-and-a-half years. As he looks back, Paul recognizes how much he actually learned in college due to his unique ability to apply his learning to his business in real-time. He attributes much of his success to this busy time in his life.
Paul worked hard to develop his landscaping business for almost twenty-five years. He is proud of the team he built, the beautiful work they did and all his company gave back to the community. He is also very appreciative how much he learned and the lifelong relationships forged. Since ceasing operations in 2018, Paul looks back on his ‘good ole days’ at PSC Landscaping with fondness and pride.
Paul’s established service business gave him the resources and flexibility to get involved in the community which has become a big part of who he is. He is an active member and Distinguished Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Danbury where he has made some of his very best friends. He has been a longtime supporter of, and has been recognized for his work with, the Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS). Paul is thrilled to bring his education, experience, and contact sphere to Blackrock Retractable Solutions, Inc. which also recognizes the importance of giving back to the community.
With too many hobbies to list, Paul is happiest when he is tinkering in his wood/metal shop or in his garden. Above all, Paul is a proud single father of two amazing tweenagers. They are both kind, smart, creative, appreciative kids who share their father’s love of music. Paul appreciates that his role at BRR allows him to not only bring fresh air and happiness to their customers, but also gives him the flexibility to spend time with his two favorite people in the world.
